What are the best onions for fajitas

Traditional fajita recipes use white onions which would suggest these as the best onions for making fajitas and I do like to use them sometimes. However, I like using yellow onions as this type of onion has this nice balance of sweetness and acidity. I also like using red onions for my fajita recipes because it adds this extra pop of color to the dish.
