Easy Tips to Make the Best Almond Flour Butter Cookies
- These easy keto butter cookies are made with salted butter, but you can also use any nut butter such as peanut butter or almond butter. Use sugar free options though!
- The cookie batter can be stored in a fridge overnight. This will give even better results in terms of the texture of the cookies. Just shape the cookie dough into a log and wrap it in some cling wrap.
- This one isn’t really a tip, but rather a suggestion. If you are thinking about substituting the almond flour with coconut, please be advised against this. The dough will not come together and will simply fall apart.
- To make the preparation of this recipe even easier and faster, toss all your ingredients in a food processor and process until the dough comes together.
- I used and recommend this keto sweetener for these yummy 4 ingredient keto cookies. However, if you have an alternative keto sweetener, you can feel free to use that instead.

Ingredients to Make the Keto Butter Cookies
These are the four ingredients you need to make these easy keto cookies.
- 1 cup of superfine almond flour (I used this superfine almond flour)
- 3 tablespoons salted butter, softened
- ¼ cup of Keto friendly powdered sweetener (this powdered sweetener works best)
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, optional
Tools Needed
- Sturdy mixing bowls – Anything you have on hand will do here. These are needed to store your ingredients and to mix the dough together.
- Silicone spatula – Great for getting in there to fold everything together in a mess free way.
- Parchment paper – An absolute must to prevent sticking and make cleanup super easy (these sheets are my favorite).
- Cooling rack – You must let the cookies cool. This keeps the bottoms from getting soggy and helps them firm up nicely (this one works great).
- Measuring cups and spoons – These are essential for accurate keto baking (I love this stainless steel set).
- Baking sheet – You need a flat, sturdy surface that bakes your cookies evenly and gives you those nice golden bottoms (this one bakes evenly and does just that!).
- Fork – You need a fork to flatten the cookie dough slightly and to add those criss cross patterns—it’s simple but works great!).
How to Make Keto Butter Cookies
Gather your ingredients in place and measure them out using your measuring cups and spoons (like this stainless steel set)

Next, preheat your oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with some parchment paper (I love using these precut parchment sheets)
In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour (I used this superfine one) and this powdered Monk fruit sweetener with Erythritol and mix well. Then add in the butter and vanilla extract and work it with your fingers for a few minutes.

You should get a nice dough ball.

Next, shape the dough into nine equal balls and place your baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Make sure to place the balls 2 inches apart. Also, press each bowl with a fork to flatten and create a crisscross pattern.

Bake the cookies for 10 minutes in your preheated oven.
Once the low carb butter cookies have baked for 10 minutes, take them out of the oven and cool the cookies on a wire rack for 20 minutes.
Once they’re cool, you can serve. How delicious do these keto treats look?

Storing Leftovers
Once your cookies have cooled completely, you should store them in a clean and dry airtight container to keep them fresh and buttery for days.
