Keto cream cheese frosting

This low carb cream cheese frosting recipe was originally made to serve with cinnamon muffins. Since, then, I’ve used this delicious cream cheese frosting recipe to add to so many other delicious keto recipes! And, I’m sure you’ll do the same.

It’s not fancy. Just really, really, good!

Made with just four simple ingredients, this cream cheese frosting is now a go-to in my kitchen whenever I’m making a recipe that calls for cream cheese frosting.

Is cream cheese frosting keto?

Regular cream cheese frosting is not keto as it contains about 13 grams of sugar and 14 grams of carbohydrates in every 2 tablespoons. Regular cream cheese frosting will quickly sabotage your keto eating. Thankfully, it is very easy to make a keto friendly version of cream cheese frosting by just omitting the powdered sugar and using powdered erythritol instead!

Cream cheese frosting ingredients

  • 8oz. cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons powdered erythritol
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla

How to make keto cream cheese frosting

To make this easy low carb keto cream cheese frosting recipe start by gathering all of the ingredients needed in one place.

Tip: Make sure the butter and cream cheese are at room temperature to avoid stiff cream cheese frosting.

Then in a large bowl, beat the room temperature cream cheese and butter until fluffy.
