Yogurt is used in so many recipes, from dressings to baked goods. However, not all yogurts are keto friendly. Although they seem like they are, many of these have loads of carbs from the starches and additives that enhance their flavor.

You can choose to make your own yogurt with double cream and sour cream. When these two combined they give a real yogurt taste, the needed texture and the yogurt you can easily use for baking.

 

Tips and tricks

  • Use sour cream; this dairy product gives that tangy taste that a good yogurt needs to have. If you were thinking of using some other type of dairy product like crème fraiche, then sour cream is a better option for this recipe.
  • Double cream is super thick and it is recommended in this recipe for this purpose. However, if you cannot find  it or have it on hand, the you can use heavy cream instead.
