They are fairly easy to make but here are some suggestions that may help you getting your chaffles perfect every time:
- Make sure your waffle iron is at its maximum heat. This will ensure your chaffles are crispy.
- Always use a full-fat cheese. Cheese with less fat will not melt correctly and you will not get a crispy chaffles.
- Your chaffles are not crispy at all? Well, this may happen due to heat settings, and if your iron is just the way it is, you can sprinkle the waffle iron with cheese 30 second before pouring over the chaffle batter. The first layer will ensure you have a crispy crust.
- The right iron is mandatory, but many suggest using a mini waffle iron. Yes, the waffles and chaffles from one look cuter, but seriously no need to bother with that. Your regular iron will be just fine.
