Variations for Ramen Noodle Boil

This basic seafood boil with ramen noodles recipe is incredibly versatile, so please feel free to play around with different ingredients and customize it to suit your taste! For example, you could…

  • Use a different kind of seasoning: As mentioned above, I used my homemade seafood seasoning, but you can feel free to substitute any type of seasoning mix that you would like in place of the seafood seasoning blend (such as seafood boil seasoning, cajun seasoning, shrimp seasoning, crab boil seasoning, etc.)
  • Use a different kind of seafood: I used shrimp in this ramen noodle boil recipe, but, you can feel free to substitute with crab legs, lobster tails, mussels, clams, crawfish, oysters, etc.
  • Use a different type of stock: Feel free to substitute the chicken stock in this ramen seafood boil with any type of broth or stock you like. You can go with beef broth or stock, vegetable stock or broth, or even my own diy seafood broth instead.
  • Leave out the boiled eggs: They’re not a must, so you can leave them out if you want to.
  • Leave out the precooked corn and potatoes

How to store the seafood boil ramen recipe

I like to store the ramen and the seafood boil in this seafood boil ramen noodle recipe separately.

Store the ramen: Let any leftover ramen come to room temperature for no more than 2 hours. Do not cross contaminate with sauce of seafood boil. Place the cooled ramen into an airtight container, seal, then refrigerate for no more than 2 days.

Store the seafood boil portion: Once you’ve served the seafood boil, quickly store any leftover in an airtight container, in the fridge for no more than 3 days.
