Pizza is dish that comes from Italy. Although it has Italian origin, pizza is probably one of the most popular dishes in the US and even across the world. Tip 1 – the base or the dough of this keto pan pizza is made with mozzarella cheese. As you already know, you can buy two types of mozzarella cheese. The mozzarella in balls and the mozzarella in the log form. For this recipe, you should consider using the mozzarella log as the mozzarella balls are packed in liquid and may bring too much of the liquid into your dough.

Tip 2 – the key in making a quality pizza dough is melting your cheese the right way. The mozzarella must be completely melted in order to blend perfectly into the pizza dough. Therefore, you should melt the mozzarella in a microwave in 30 second bursts until completely runny. Then add in the rest of the dough ingredients and mix well for the best keto pizza dough.

Tip 3 – This low carb pizza recipe uses a low carb store-bought tomato sauce. However, if you want you can use a fresh homemade tomato sauce by processing a few tomatoes yourself. If you want to go this route, then simply peel the tomatoes, chop and process until smooth.

  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup almond flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce or tomato sauce, no sugar added
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • sliced pepperoni
  • Dried basil, as desired

  • Microwave safe bowl – Melting your cheese properly is very important in this keto pizza recipe. You can ensure that you cheese melts properly by using a good microwave safe bowl such as this one.

 

How to make keto sheet pan pizza

To begin making this pizza, gather all of your ingredient and tools in one place:

Next, you will make your keto pizza crust by combining the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese in a microwave safe bowl and microwave the mozzarella in 30 second bursts until melted.

Then remove from the microwave and stir until smooth.

After you’ve stirred the cheeses together, you will then fold in egg, almond flour, and baking powder and stir until the low carb dough comes together.

 

To finish of the pizza dough you will knead it with gently oiled hands until smooth.

At this point, preheat your oven to 400F.

Then, roll out the dough between two pieces of baking paper to 1/4-inch thick and transfer the dough in a gently greased sheet pan, 9×13-inch.

Using the baking paper makes rolling out the dough so much easier.

Lastly, top the dough with tomato sauce, mushrooms, and shredded cheese

Bake the pizza for about 15 minutes.
