If you’re following a low carb lifestyle , these keto sausage balls are something you must try. They are made from fresh pork sausages and they taste divine. Each keto sausage ball is rich in flavor and loaded with cheddar cheese.

You can serve these as a snack or with some cauliflower rice for a full meal and they’ll taste amazing both ways. They also make a quick light keto breakfast idea when you’re tired of pancakes or eggs. 

Also, keep in mind that pork sausages are not mandatory in this recipe. In fact, you can use any kind of low-carb sausage that you prefer. Also if you do choose to use pork meat in this recipe, you can use ground pork if you already have this on hand or if it is easier for you to find.  However, we used pork sausages because it has the perfect amount of spices and a balanced flavor for this recipe.

  • Using raw pork sausages is a time saver. Just remove the casing and combine the meat with the rest of the ingredients. The pork sausages do not need any additional spices and you do not have to worry if your meat is too seasoned.
  • The sausages are combined with cheddar cheese, but you can go with other types of cheese. Mozzarella will give nice moisture to the recipe, while gouda gives some extra fattiness to these cheesy balls.

These are the ingredients you need to make these easy sausage balls.

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5lb pork sausage, raw, and casing removed
  • 4oz. cream cheese

 

How to make keto sausage balls with cream cheese

To make this recipe, first, you will need to assemble all of the ingredients to make the low carb sausage balls.

Then in a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, cheddar cheese, Italian seasoning, and baking powder and mix well.

 

Next add pork meat and cream cheese.

 

Stir with clean hands to make a “dough”.

 

Preheat oven to 400F.

Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and arrange on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

Bake the low carb sausage balls for 8 minutes. You will then need to remove them from the oven, flip them over and bake them for another 7 minutes.

Serve these easy cheesy keto sausage balls warm.
