Flavorful ramen beef seasoning

I thoroughly enjoy crafting my own seasoning blends, and this choice reflects my commitment to try to avoid the common preservatives found in store-bought alternatives. More significantly, concocting my homemade beef flavored ramen seasoning is astonishingly simple and yields the most delightful flavor!

My family adores recipes featuring beef ramen noodles. However, I’m not a fan of using prepackaged ramen seasoning sachets. That’s why this uncomplicated homemade beef ramen seasoning mix has become a kitchen essential for me. I prepare it and store it in a container, ensuring it’s readily accessible for anyone looking to create a delectable beef-flavored ramen dish.

This straightforward recipe consists of fundamental elements like beef bouillon, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and other spices typically found in your spice cabinet. The best part? It takes only 5 minutes to whip up a fresh batch!

What is in beef ramen seasoning?

Beef flavored ramen seasoning usually includes ingredients like beef bullion cubes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, thyme, ginger powder, paprika, ground black pepper, and ground cumin.

Beef ramen seasoning ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of Beef bullion cubes
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp ginger powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

How to make beef ramen seasoning

Gather Your Ingredients: Make sure you have all the necessary ingredients ready.

Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, plate, or airtight container, combine the beef bouillon powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, ground cumin, black pepper, dried thyme, and salt.

Mix Thoroughly: Use a whisk, spoon, or fork to thoroughly mix all the ingredients. Ensure that the seasoning is well blended, so you don’t get clumps of one particular spice when you use it.

You may need to use a spice grinder or mortar and pestle to grind the spices. This is because some brands of beef bullion cubes tend to clump together.

How to store

Storing ramen beef seasoning properly is essential to keep it fresh and maintain its flavor over time. Here are some guidelines on how to store beef ramen seasoning:

Place In An Airtight Container: Once done, transfer your beef ramen seasoning into an airtight container. You can use small glass jars, plastic containers with tight-fitting lids, or even ziplock bags. The key is to prevent air and moisture from getting in, so the ramen spice blend stays fresh for longer.

You can choose one of the options above, but my best recommendation is to make your life a LOT easier and pick up this 24 pack of spice jars here at Amazon to store all your seasonings, spices, or spice mixes. It comes with 24 Empty 4 oz. Square Spice Jars, 398 Labels, 24 Shaker Lids, a funnel, a brush, and a handy marker.

Label: It’s a good idea to label the container with the name of the seasoning and the date it was prepared. This way, you can easily identify the seasoning and keep track of its freshness.

Place in a Cool, Dry Place: Store the spice mix in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. A pantry or kitchen cabinet is usually a suitable location. Avoid storing it near the stove or oven, as the heat and humidity can affect the quality of the seasoning.

Avoid Refrigeration: It’s generally not necessary to refrigerate beef ramen seasoning. In fact, refrigeration can introduce moisture, which can lead to clumping and spoil the seasoning faster. Keep it at room temperature for the best results.

Use Within a Reasonable Timeframe: While homemade spice blends can last for several months to a year and sometimes more, it’s best to use your beef ramen seasoning within six months to ensure the freshest flavor.

How to use

To use your homemade beef ramen seasoning, simply add it to your beef ramen dishes to taste. Start with a teaspoon or two and adjust according to your preference. You can use it to season the broth or sprinkle it on top of your ramen just before serving. If you want a beef flavored ramen recipe, try some in my easy no seasoning ramen noodles.

Beyond just ramen noodles, beef ramen seasoning can also be used to make:

  • Stir-Fry: Use the beef ramen seasoning as a seasoning mix for your stir-fry.
  • Marinade: Create a marinade for beef, chicken, or pork by mixing the seasoning with some oil, soy sauce, and a bit of honey. Let your meat soak in this mixture for a few hours before grilling or baking.
  • Popcorn Seasoning: Sprinkle the beef ramen seasoning over freshly popped popcorn for a unique and savory snack.
  • Roasted Vegetables: Toss your favorite vegetables with a little oil and the beef ramen seasoning before roasting.
  • Potato Wedges: Season potato wedges with the beef ramen seasoning before baking. They’ll come out crispy and flavorful.
  • Sauces and Dips: Mix the seasoning into sauces and dips like mayonnaise, ketchup, or yogurt to give them a beefy kick. Great for dipping fries or veggies.
  • Rice Bowl: Sprinkle the seasoning over a bowl of steamed rice and top it with sautéed vegetables, grilled meat, or a fried egg for a quick and flavorful rice bowl.
  • Homemade Burgers: Add a teaspoon or two of the beef ramen seasoning into your burger patty mixture for a unique twist on classic burgers.
  • Salad Dressing: Create a beefy salad dressing by mixing the seasoning with olive oil, vinegar, and a touch of honey or mustard. It can turn a simple salad into a flavorful meal.

Remember that the beef ramen seasoning can be a bit salty due to the beef bullions, so be cautious when adding additional salt to your dishes, and adjust the quantity to your taste. This homemade beef flavored ramen seasoning allows you to customize the taste of your ramen dishes and is the best, tastiest alternative to the prepackaged seasoning packets.
