How to reheat a seafood boil in a bag on the stove

The best way to reheat seafood boil is in an oven bag on the stovetop.

For this method of reheating, simply add at least 4 cups of water to a large deep pot and bring that to a boil. Once the water has reached a boil, place the leftover seafood boil feast into a large oven bag and seal it.

Next place this bag into the boiling water making sure that the bag of seafood boil does not touch the sides of the pot.

Let the seafood boil sit in this pot of boiling water for 10-15 minutes. Remove, then pour out onto a platter and serve. Or, let it cool for a few minutes, then untie/unseal to release the heat and enjoy immediately.

The steam should help to ensure that the seafood boil is warm through without quickly to avoid overcooking more than necessary and making the leftover warmed-up seafood boil rubbery.

Remove the reheated seafood from the bag and serve immediately.

Do so by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Then half fill an oven pan with water and place the bag of seafood boil into the pan.

Ensure that you’re using oven-safe bags that are big enough to hold the seafood boil and close securely. I’ve tried many before but my favorite oven bags are Newcos Large Oven Bags for Cooking that I get on Amazon. They check all the boxes.

Next, reheat the seafood boil bag for 20 minutes.

The steam should help to ensure that the seafood boil is warmed through quickly to avoid overcooking more than necessary and making the leftover warmed-up seafood boil rubbery.

Remove from the heat, release any steam, and serve. Enjoy!
