Yes, grilled chicken is good for keto. In fact, all cuts of chicken are keto friendly. However, not all chicken recipes are good for keto.

 

 
You have to make sure that the sauces or seasonings you use on your grilled chicken (or any other chicken you prepare for keto) are low carb or keto approved.

 

Tips and tricks to make the grilled chicken breasts juicer

Chicken breasts can be very dry once cooked. To make them juicier soak them in some brine before grilling.

To soak the meat in brine, first, make the brine by simply adding two cups of water, 2 -3  tbsp of salt, and 1 tbsp of keto brown sugar to a container. Mix this well, place the chicken breasts in making sure they’re submerged, and leave them in this solution for up to 30 minutes. 

The brine solution will force the chicken to absorb some of the moisture from the brine, making it juicier.

Ingredients for keto grilled chicken

These are all the ingredients you will need to make this grilled stuffed chicken recipe:

  • 2 chicken breast fillets, skinless and boneless
  • ½ cup chopped bell pepper, mixed (green, red, yellow)
  • 2 tbsp onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 slices Provolone cheese

 

How to make keto grilled chicken 

To start, first gather all of your ingredients in one place.

 

Then heat the olive oil in a skillet, add peppers and onions, and cook for 5 minutes while stirring.

 

Make a slit in each chicken breast, horizontally. Like this:

 

Fill the chicken with one slice of cheese, bell peppers and onion mix, and the second piece of cheese.

 

Press the chicken ends to seal and preheat the grill to medium-high.

Grill the chicken for 7 minutes per side. The cheese may melt out a bit but this is nothing to worry about.
